Description

True North Treks offers free wilderness retreats—like backpacking, paddling, and snow‑shoeing—for young adult cancer survivors (and some caregiver-inclusive cohorts). These immersive experiences combine outdoor exploration with mindfulness, peer support, and intentional healing in remote nature settings.

Camp Eligibility 

Who-Cancer survivors diagnosed between ages 18–39 (current ages up to ~45); some treks include caregivers or “next-level” alumni aged 40+

Where– United States—multi‑night treks in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Yellowstone, Utah’s Red Rock Canyon

Length of camp – 3-7 Days

Cost- Free but ask for fundraising in a “pay it forward” model.

Additional Documentation Required- Once accepted doctor clearance required
