Description

The Izzy Foundation Academic Scholarship Program supports children nationwide who have been diagnosed with or treated for pediatric cancer, as well as their siblings. Scholarships are available for both K–12 students and college students, with awards helping families offset educational costs at accredited U.S. institutions.

Scholarship Eligibility

Who – Pediatric cancer patients, childhood cancer survivors, and siblings (including bereaved), all under age 25. Must have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer by age 18. U.S. citizens living in the United States. Enrolled in or accepted to an accredited K–12 school or undergraduate college/university

When – Opens: March 1, 2026 (8:00 AM). Closes: May 1, 2026 (8:00 PM) Award notifications sent by July 19. Acceptance Form due by October 1

Awarded – $500 per approved student, renewable annually for up to three years

Total Awarded – 20-36

Additional Documentation Required – Diagnosis verification letter, recommendation letter, essays or creative submissions, and enrollment verification. College applicants: required 250–500 word essay, one letter of recommendation, and optional creative submission. K–12 applicants: 250-word essay (or artwork/video for younger students) and one letter of recommendation
