Modest Needs is a nonprofit organization designed to provide short-term financial assistance to individuals and families who are working but facing unexpected expenses that could push them into poverty — such as high medical bills, treatment-related costs, rent, utilities, car repairs, or other emergent needs. By offering one-time grants before a crisis deepens, Modest Needs helps recipients stay afloat and avoid long-term hardship.

Eligibility 

Who- U.S. residents who have at least one member of the family employed 

When-Rolling

Awarded- Typically $750-$1200 directly toward whatever bill is being requested covered. 

Additional Documentation Required –  Proof of monthly income,
