Description

AiRS Foundation works to support women who have undergone mastectomies (due to breast cancer or genetic risk) by providing education, advocacy, and financial assistance for breast reconstruction surgery. They help restore a sense of wholeness, dignity, and confidence — offering not just funding, but guidance, advocacy, and resources to navigate reconstruction after mastectomy.

Support Type:

Financial assistance / grant support for reconstructive breast surgery (or co-pays / out-of-pocket reconstruction costs)

Patient advocacy & navigation (help with paperwork, surgeon referrals, support throughout the reconstruction process)

Grant Eligibility 

Who- Reside within the United States. Have been diagnosed with breast cancer or breast cancer genetic mutation. Apply 1-3 months prior to your surgery and provide a written estimate from your surgeon/provider.
Surgeon is in-network unless there is a justifiable reason why you must go out of network. Income requirements: 175% of federal poverty guidelines 

When-Rolling applications processing and approval of complete applications may take between 14-30 days.

Awarded- up to $2500 directly to medical institution 

Additional Documentation Required –  Income verification, medical coverage verification, diagnosis verification
