Camp Bluebird originated in 1985 in Birmingham, Alabama as a retreat for adult cancer survivors (18+ and beyond AYA). Since then, franchises were sold, using the Camp Bluebird name, and over 36 cancer retreats were started in various parts of the country.
Camp Bluebird offers survivors a chance to pause, reflect, connect, and heal alongside others who understand the journey. Through shared stories, education, creative activities, emotional and spiritual support, and meaningful fellowship, Camp Bluebird helps participants rediscover hope, rebuild strength, and find comfort and community beyond diagnosis.
