Description
First Descents offers free, professionally guided outdoor adventure programs—like kayaking, climbing, surfing, and paddling—designed to help build confidence, resilience, and peer connection. Each camp serves a specific population such as AYAs, patients with MS, caregivers, and healthcare workers.
Camp Eligibility
Who-Diagnosed between 15-39 and currently 18-45. For healthcare workers/Caregivers must be between 18-45 and care for someone who would be qualified to attend an oncology program as a patient.
Where– Varies but most happen in Oregon, North Carolina, California, or Colorado.
Length of camp – A week
Cost- Free just pay to get to/from camp
Additional Documentation Required – Doctor Clearance
