The Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation supports young adults (ages 18–40) impacted by cancer by connecting them to tailored peer programs, emotional support, educational resources, and social advocacy. Their signature offering, Base2Summit, is a free weeklong outdoor survivorship experience in Michigan designed to empower healing through adventure.
Base 2 Summit Experience: A free, 6-day adventure-based survivorship camp set in Northern Michigan.
Travel Assistance Program: Helps cover travel costs to CHSCF-approved camps and conferences, with over 300 flights funded to date.
CHSCF Scholarship: Provides post-high school scholarships (~$1,000 each) to Michigan-based young adult survivors; total awarded to date ~$40,000
Information & Resource Bags: Offered at Michigan hospitals and via mail, containing educational and emotional support materials at diagnosis.
